40th Annual 911 Toy Drive/Blue Santa
W. Steven Martin founded the 911 Toy Drive to provide support for our public safety personnel, allowing them to get toys into the hands of children and youth and help create a positive interaction that will define that child’s attitude towards the officers. Our Blue Santas have shared thousands of stories of success as a direct result of this program.
2025 has brought about significant changes as the Toy Drive in its current format winds down. After four decades as the Blue Santa in Chief, W has overseen the unbelievable distribution of some 8 million gifts to children and youth across Arizona and beyond. Most officers who began this journey with us have long since retired, and we thank them for their service.
New this year is the opportunity for departments to request toys in bulk (not associated with individual families) for children up to age 10. Department coordinators must email 911ToyDrive@cox.net for further information before December 8, 2025.

Finally, the 2025 911 Toy Drive is dedicated to the memory of a great man and friend of the Toy Drive, Mark (Yoda) Wilson, MD, who served on our Board as Vice President for many years and was a fundraiser like none other. We lost Mark this past summer after his long battle with cancer. His legacy includes major innovations and improvements in cancer treatments directly related to experimental regimens he endured for years. Thank you, Yoda, for your service! A hero you are.
